Vegan Fresh Pasta Dough



Makes 1 pound of dough

Ingredients

1 heaping cup flour

1 cup semolina

½ tsp salt

¾ cup water

2 tsp olive oil

Instructions

Step 1 - Getting Prepped

I like to start in a wooden bowl and then bring my dough mixture on to the counter. In the bowl I start with the flour, semolina and salt. In a measuring cup I have my water and oil together.

Step 2 - Making the dough

Create a little well in your flour, semolina an salt mix and then pour your in wet ingredients. Mix it up with your hands until a forms a dough ball. After thoroughly forming your dough, let it rest, covered in the wooden bowl for at least 1 hour.

Step 3 - Making your pasta

Depending on the type of pasta you are looking to make there are many methods to making pasta. Fettuccini, raviolis and tortellini are some of the types that I have learned to be quite easy to get the hang of. I typically use a pasta machine to roll out my dough to make my pasta thin enough to make tortellini’s which are my favorite shape to make.
